Positive Words Klimt Style

This class focuses on Gustav Klimt – a painter from the turn of the 20th century who is most well-known for his glittering portraits of women and his gorgeous use of patterns and metallic gold. Come and explore a few of those patterns on your project in this class. Choose positive words that begin with the initial of your name. I choose Truthful and Trusting.

Supplies needed: 5”x 3”  Tan Paper (I created mine on Strathmore Toned Tan paper which I don’t recommend for a lot of water). Please note that this project can be done on a white piece of Cardstock as well.

Black Micron Pen (your choice 01-05), Light Brown Micron Pen, Pencil, Gold Gel Pen (I recommend Sakura’s Gold Metallic Gelly Roll), 2 colored pencils (regular or water). Your choice in colors. If you use watercolor pencils you will also need a water brush and paper that can support mixed media.

Word of the Year Pattern Drawing Class

Choose an inspiring word to give you inspiration for the new year. Come prepared with your word and create a beautiful art piece giving you a gentle reminder throughout the year.

SUPPLIES NEEDED: 3.5”Square Zentangle tile or piece of heavy cardstock, Micron 05 or PN black pen, pencil, a sketchbook or practice paper, colored pencils of your choice. I like to have at least 3-5 colors from the same color family that go together to count as one of my colors. For example, yellow, orange and red. So I may have about 4-5 different color combinations ready to use and then some, just depending on what I want for that project. Use your choice of medium to color this beautiful piece if you prefer something other than colored pencils.

This class was inspired and created by Zentangle Artist and Teacher, Romi Marks.
